Chief Elected Officials Board / Rural Transportation Planning Organization
The CEO and RTPO Board represents Judges from 14 counties and Mayors from the City of Longview and Tyler. The Board develops strategic plans and strategies for ETCOG and Workforce Solutions East Texas and plans for transportation projects.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors serves as ETCOG’s governing body, providing overall direction, policy leadership, and fiduciary oversight for the organization. The Board includes 137 seats of elected officials representing our local member governments and special districts across East Texas.
Meeting twice a year, Board members authorize ETCOG’s budget and regional planning guide, present regional awards, and act on key organizational matters. The Board helps ensure ETCOG remains accountable to its member governments and responsive to the region's needs.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee meets monthly to provide leadership and oversight between meetings of the full Board of Directors. The committee reviews regional grant recommendations, regional plans, major purchases, vendor contracts, and other organizational business. It helps guide priorities, oversee implementation of Board policies, address routine and time-sensitive matters, and make recommendations to the full Board, supporting an accountable, responsive organization focused on serving East Texas communities.
