With the leadership and guidance of our Board, Executive Committee, and Advisory Committees, we are hard at work to serve East Texas and provide regional solutions. This report offers information and stats on how we served the community in the Fiscal Year 2025 (October 1 - September 30) through our service agencies. Grants Allocated Within Your County

Working with local, state, and federal partners, ETCOG assists with prioritizing and administering important grants in our region. The following grants were awarded this fiscal year for solid waste minimization, public safety, and/or economic development initiatives.


  • $23,000 – Homeland Security Grant (Harrison County)
  • $10,500 - Justice Assistance Grant (City of Marshall)
  • $3,000 - Solid Waste Minimization Grant (City of Waskom)
  • $2,500 - Solid Waste Minimization Grant (City of Uncertain)
  • $150,000 - High Demand Job Training Grant (Marshall ISD & Marshall Economic Development Corporation)

 


Environmental Programs

ETCOG is the state designated organization for municipal solid waste planning in our region. We utilize regional goals and waste diversion resources to coordinate projects that benefit health and safety. Here are some results from the funded cleanup projects in your county.

Senior Services

ETCOG administers the Area Agency on Aging of East Texas, utilizing state and federal funding to help seniors with information and referral assistance, benefits counseling, legal assistance, care coordination and caregiver support.
