ETCOG is Subject to the Open Meetings Act

The Open Meetings Act was adopted to help make governmental decision-making accessible to the public. It requires meetings of governmental bodies to be open to the public, except for expressly authorized closed sessions, and to be preceded by public notice of the time, place, and subject matter of the meeting. The public is welcome to attend any of our open meetings, which are shared below.

The East Texas Council of Governments will hold its 101st Semi-Annual Board of Directors Meeting on September 23, 2021, in Cherokee County. The fiscal year 2022 budget will be considered, along with the election of new officers.


Please RSVP your attendance to join us at The Legacy venue located in Jacksonville, Texas. Reservations are needed by September 16.
