Assisting East Texas jurisdictions and residents recover from natural disasters.
ETCOG is an administrator of the Texas Department of Housing Community Affairs (TDHCA) HOME Disaster Relief Program, a long-term housing program designed to serve income eligible households impacted by disasters.
The HOME Disaster Relief Program allows ETCOG to support the rebuilding or repairing of homes in counties in our region affected by disasters. To rebuild, the single-family homes average costs are from $100,000 to $110,000 depending on the size of the family. Eligible clients must have experienced property damage from the disaster, have a clear title on their home with no liens, and not to have received FEMA assistance.
We are currently accepting housing assistance applications from individuals affected by March 2021 tornadoes in Panola and Rusk Counties.
